ASCAT sea-surface wind data
The original Advanced Scatterometer (ASCAT) sea-surface wind data are provided through EUMETSAT's Ocean and Sea Ice Satellite Application Facility (OSI SAF) project. Products are distributed to registered users by OSI SAF via the internet; see https://osi-saf.eumetsat.int/products for further information. By agreement with EUMETSAT, JMA changes data into SATAID format and distributes them as part of the SATAID service.
